Announcement on March 16, 2017
Dear Principal and Parents:
        We warmly invite you to participate in the Jakarta Taipei School`s Traditional Chinese Culture Festival –Inter-schoolsChinese Character Competition, which will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017.
        The competition has been organized for bothprimary and secondary students. The groups are divided into 4 categories: 1. Lower Grades (G1-G2), 2. Middle Grades (G3-G4), 3. Senior Grades (G5-G6), and 4. Secondary School (G7-G12).
The purpose of this competition is to: improve hand writingthrough a competition, to encourage students to write Chinese characters better and learn to appreciate the beauty of Chinese characters.
 
The rules of the competition:

1. The copy material and the paper will be provided by Jakarta Taipei School.
2. Please bring your own pencil, eraser, and blue/black pen, and other stationary needed.
3. Scoring criteria: accuracy and cleanliness 30%, structure and writing sequence 50%, style and layout 20%.

Important Dates:

• Registration date            : March 16, 2017
• Registration due date     : March 31, 2017
• Competition date            : Saturday, April 8, 2017 (13.30-14.20)

Registration Fee                     : Free
Competition Rewards:

1. The top three students from each group, will be awarded a trophy, certificate, and prize money.
2. 1^st place will be awarded a champion trophy and Rp.300.000,-prize money.

        2^nd place will be awarded a runner-up trophy and Rp.200.000,-prize money.
        3^rd place will be awarded a third place trophy and Rp.100.000,-prize money.

3. All the winners will be announced at Jakarta Taipei School and published on the Jakarta Taipei School’s website.
4. Writing will not be returned to the students and the committee will hold the copyright to publish, display, and use it without any other expenses.
